Forest honey - Ruchers du fourneau
Le Fourneau
21290 ESSAROIS
France
Honey with a fragrant taste. This intensely-flavored local honey is a blend of nectars and honeydew. Rich in trace elements, it's perfect for getting through the winter and fighting off aches and pains (colds, coughs, etc.).
The Ruchers du Fourneau beekeeping operation is located in a verdant setting, isolated from the village of Essarois in Côte-d'Or, at a place called "Le Fourneau". The farm is located in the Châtillonnais region, in the heart of the National Forest Park. Ruchers du Fourneau is housed in a family home that has been in the family for 3 generations. It lies in an idyllic setting for a beekeeper, wedged between two forests along the Digeanne, a tributary of the Ource, which itself flows into the Seine. As its name suggests, this hamlet was once a blast furnace. Reception: tasting, sales and visits by appointment.
