Refuge of the Valette

Situated at an altitude of 2,590m, you'll discover an exceptional panorama with a 360° view of the Vanoise glaciers: Grande Casse, Peclet Polset, Dôme des Sonnailles... Managed in a sustainable way (donkey or human porterage, use of ecological cleaning products and cuisine based on organic and local produce), this refuge helps to raise public awareness of sustainable development and nature conservation.

The refuge, which belongs to the Vanoise National Park and is located at an altitude of 2,590m, consists of three small traditional chalets set into the mountain, and can sleep up to 44 people in dormitories. Bivouacs are permitted in the vicinity of the refuge during the guarding season. The refuge is usually manned from mid-June to mid-September.
