Stevenson part 2 (Chasseradès - Saint-Jean-du-Gard)

This second section of the famous GR70, also known as the Stevenson Trail, stretches from 200 to 1,699 metres above sea level and offers a mosaic of striking landscapes. After a start on the wooded slopes of the Goulet mountain, hikers cross the Lot valley, before feeling the more mountainous atmosphere as they reach the
Lozère mountain. Culminating at 1,699 meters, this highest point in the Cévennes offers superb panoramic views over Lozère and Occitanie.
After Florac, home to the Parc National des Cévennes, the landscape changes again, entering a territory marked by goat breeding, silkworm cultivation and chestnut groves. This free-roaming route along Stevenson's path lends itself particularly well to a family adventure, accessible and captivating for children.
