The Great Lake of Monêtier-les-Bains

We begin by following the torrent du Rif to the hamlet of Alpe du Lauzet, where we take time to explain the life of yesteryear and admire the view of the Glacier du Casset and the Agneaux.

After entering the cirque carved out by the Torrent du Plan Chevalier, we cross a narrow chimney giving us a sense of adventure to reach the Grand Lac.

After a picnic by the lake, the final short climb up to the Bruyères ridge offers not only a beautiful view of the Grand Lac, but also a magnificent final view of the Écrins massif.
