The Lake of Combeynot
In the heart of the Ecrins National Park, Lac de Combeynot nestles at an altitude of over 2550 metres in the heart of an ancient glacial valley surrounded by numerous peaks topping out at over 3000 metres.
This is a very varied hike, starting with a pretty traverse of a melèzin, then moving on to the mineral world, where we might even spot the master of the place: the chamois!
