Outing "Lake and refuge of Goléon : on the tracks of the Cristalliers" - Alexandre Puech

From the hamlet of Valfroide (1872 m), we climb up the vast valley carved out by the Lombard glacier, to reach the Goléon refuge near the lake of the same name.

In addition to offering unforgettable panoramic views of the high peaks of the Meije massif, Lac du Goléon lies at the start of a wide grassy valley that stretches to the foot of the Aiguille du Goléon and the Aiguille Méridionale d'Arves.

We'll be sure to get up high to observe the lake from above, but also to understand the crystalliser craze in the Rubans area!
